Village of Pellston Ordinance #60 – Municipal Water System

1st public meeting will be held on Monday, April 6th at 7:00pm at the Pellston Village Hall, 125 N Milton, Pellston, MI 49769

 2nd public meeting will be held on Monday, April 13th at 7:00pm  at the Pellston Village Hall, 125 N Milton, Pellston, MI 49769

Upcoming Ordinace Adoption: 

The Village is preparing to adopt an ordinance (click here to view) related to the development and implementation of the Municipal Water System.  

This ordinance will outline:

The structure and governance of the municipal water system
Connection requirements
Water usage policies
Maintenance responsibilities
Compliance standards

Rates - Will be adopted by the Council at a future date

What This Means for Property Owners:

All property owners within the designated water service area will be required to review and sign a Water Service Agreement to formally opt in for municipal water service.

Signing the agreement will:

Reserve your connection to the system
Confirm your participation in the project
Establish billing and service responsibilities
Ensure compliance with the adopted ordinance

Failure to return a signed agreement by the stated deadline may delay or impact your ability to connect to the system.

Timeline:

Ordinance Adoption: April 13, 2026
Water Service Agreements Distributed: April 2026
Agreement Return Deadline: May 2026
