Financial Reports/Audits

The 2025-20626 Audited Financial Satements will be posted in September of 2026.  The Village of Pellston's fiscal year runs March 1st through February 28th.  Munincipalities with a population of less than 4,000 are required to have audits every other year and they must be performed by qualified accountants experienced in munincipal accounting. 

Munincipal financial audits include:

- Examination of financial statements for accuracy & compliance with GAAP.

- Review of internal controls & accounting procedures.

- Compliance with applicable state & federal laws

- In the case of single audits, federal award compliance & internal controls.

In addition to preparing the audit, munincipalities must also file related reports such as the Annual Financial Report (F-65) and any required qualifying statements with the State Treasury.  Please click here to view the Village of Pellston F65 Reports.
