Weight Restrictions

On Monday, April 10, 2023 MDOT will be starting a road project on US-31 in Alanson. Part of this project includes detouring south bound US-31 traffic onto Milton Road and then re-entering US-31 at Powers Road.
Milton Road from US-31 (north end) to the Alanson Village limits is normally a weight restricted road.
To facilitate the MDOT detour, the Emmet County Road Commission will lift the weight restriction for Milton Road starting at US-31 (north end) then south to the Alanson Village limit starting on April 10, 2023.
Weight restrictions remain in effect on all other applicable Emmet County Road Commission roads.
